- I am a widowed grandmother, and I work for an international educational institution. I studied hard to be a Mechanical Engineer (yes, I loved Physics, statics & dynamics, even multi-varible Calc), but wound up working with computers. I've been working in High Tech so long, I know what a punch card is and how to make one. I can berate programmers from a couple of thousand miles, away. I've got shoes older than most techies I work with, now . I was a Navy wife for over 10 years in the 70's, married to a nuclear submariner. Did I mention my 3 beautiful granddaughters (a 6th grader, and twin 2nd graders). I bleed burnt orange for UT baseball! and have promised to support Colt McCoy this season, while keeping my opinions of Mac Brown to myself.
